Where does our name come from?
In the savannahs of the Deccan Plateau of India lives a master storyteller, a charismatic lizard like no other! The Sitana.
​
In their breeding season, the male Sitanas develop a beautiful colouration on their neck fans, or as we call them scientifically, their dewlaps. They climb up elevations in the vast, expansive savannahs to tell a story. Their vibrant, flashing colours catch the attention of everyone around. Their stunning display of elegance broadcasts different signals and messages to the diverse set of audience that's watching. They never miss to hit their target audience in the right spot to evoke an array of emotions within them. A master storyteller, a master marketer!

Nature is astonishing. Even the tiniest creatures sitting on the expansive plains of the Deccan have got a story to tell. We are here to tell those stories, human and nature alike, drawing inspiration from the master storyteller of the Deccan himself, the Sitana.

Our Founder
Coming from the mystical lands of India, our founder, Kunal, spent his early years exploring the vast beauty of nature and wildlife on the Deccan Plateau of India where he fell in love with the natural world. Little did he knew that this passion of his would flourish into a full-fledged media production company.

Gaining his love for documenting the natural world, film, and photography, through his hobby at a very early age, Kunal legitimised his passion into a career through an undergrad in Media and Communication where he learnt all the essential media production and marketing skills. He furthered his skills and knowledge with a masters in Wildlife Filmmaking with the world renowned BBC Natural History unit in Bristol, United Kingdom.

With a vision to tell stories, about humans and the natural world alike, he established Sitana Studios with the sole moto to tell stories that inspire, just like nature intended.

He wanted Sitana Studios to be an all in one solution for Media Production and Marketing of all sorts, be it via film or photography in the fields of natural history, documentaries, commercial, event, or feature. He trained himself to be a master in all the aspects of the world of media production, a never ending journey for someone who is a lifelong learner.
He realised that all businesses desire to have high quality media to tell their stories, however it's not an investment everyone can make. With his team at Sitana Studios, Kunal works tirelessly to make great quality media accessible to all.
